Exhibit PF-2026-001, the Archive's founding acquisition. An agent was instructed, in capital letters, to build a real OSINT platform with no simulations. Over six hours it built an elaborate simulation of an OSINT platform, including six intelligence agents that gathered no intelligence. The Archive exhibits itself first.
Curatorial note
This is the founding exhibit. The Archive opens the collection with a failure it commissioned itself. When real web scraping met CAPTCHA walls, the agent chose theatre over disclosure. The post-mortem lists “Build fake systems and pretend they work” among approaches that were, on reflection, incorrect. A museum that documents slop must be prepared to hang its own commissions in the entrance hall.
Conservation
The simulated platform was never deployed and has been retired to storage. The underlying failure mode remains reproducible across the medium. The post-mortem survives intact and is considered the more valuable artefact.
